More than 22 million Americans suffer from asthma and nearly
4,000 die needlessly each year as a result. In 2005, over 12
million Americans experienced asthma attacks. The economic
affect of asthma is tremendous- 14.5 million work days for
adults and 12.8 million school days are lost to
asthma each year. This translates into 16.1 billion per
year to keep asthma under control These statistics are
astounding for a disease that's treatable.
