When will my project get started? (COVID-19 Version)

When you decide to move forward with our team at Almar we usually can give you a good idea of a start date for your project, but with recent developments in the work with COVID-19, that has become more of a challenge for our Production Team.

Our production department is working daily to organize and update the schedule daily to help keep our projects moving and making the necessary preparations for your project.   Usually they have a rolling schedule that allows our Sales team to give clients a realistic and accurate idea on start dates to our clients.

In the currently working climate this has become more difficult for our team.   With ever changing restrictions and requirements on our industry it has been more of a challenge to give firm dates for our project timelines.   Our team must do more things everyday with regards to the sanitation and preparation for working.   We are also being very mindful of how many people we have working on a site at any given time.  We want to make sure that our employees, trade partners and clients are comfortable with the way work is proceeding on their project.

Not only the scheduling of project is a challenge, but the material supply chain is changing daily.   We started the summer with a pressure treated lumber shortage that is not only causing prices to rise, but also make it harder to get the necessary materials to our sites.   Most cabinet manufactures shut down their facilities during the spring 2020 Covid-19 outbreak, which has lengthened lead time to 7 to 8 weeks for getting cabinetry.

We know that soon, things will return to normal for everyone and we will be able to be more confident with our project scheduling, but we hope and appreciate that you understand that we are doing our best to try and stay on top of our project schedules and keep our homeowners up to date on the every changing plan.

Our team has been working with families like yours for over 60 years. And it is important to use that everyone works together to create the best possible remodeling experience. We never want to see someone regret the choice they made because they did not have all their options.
