Home Offices… We Need One NOW!!

There are more reasons than ever for homeowners to add a home office. More and more of you are now working from home- and some of you are even working from home indefinitely. Summer is coming and kids are about to be home from school. When you are trying to get work done, we know that finding and having a space for you to call your office might be a challenge. In the past couple of years, we’ve been speaking to more and more homeowners about getting that office space in their home.
So where have we been helping people get that space? It varies from homeowner to homeowners. Some common spaces for home offices we have been remodeling are attics or basement spaces. Another great and super customizable option is to add on a brand-new space. In one case, we have a homeowner that decided to take the opportunity to build a great room addition onto their home. Instead of the usual crawlspace foundation, we added on a finished basement area. This finished basement allowed for a fully renovated home office. An addition is one way that you can gain space on your home, but it also tends to be the costliest option to gain an office.
Basements and attics are also popular areas of your home that might be unfinished and allow you to expand your living area to include a home office. There are plenty of ways to transform these areas.
