This year we finished remodeling a four-season room and upgraded the homeowner’s balcony overlooking the Scituate harbor. Recently, we got the opportunity to stop by, catch up with the homeowners, and take pictures of their beautiful remodeled space. Allison, Craig, and I were happy with how the room turned out. We revitalized this previously neglected outdoor area and set it to serve its purpose for years to come with the addition of new features and a sleek design. Our homeowner took the lead on the design of the space. We loved bringing the tools and assisting in making their dreams come to fruition.
One of the first things the homeowners wanted to do was add big picture windows around the perimeter of the room. The windows that were chosen were Marvin windows selected through Cape Cod Lumber in Abington. Marvin windows add great efficiency to your home with a true elegance that is only offered with their windows. This makes the room have a true four-season feel. Our homeowner also wanted to replace the wood panel floors with French hexagonal tiles. The European look came out better than we could’ve ever expected.
Four Season Room Details
Working with the homeowner, we designed a custom look to the interior trim of the room with paneled wainscoting, custom window trim, and crown molding. With the interior trim painted white and new designer wallpaper installed on the walls, the room came together with the installation of an imported tile floor.
This three-season room became a true four-season room when we installed a new hyper heat mini split AC system. One of the best parts of what we do is collaborating with our clients to come up with great functional spaces that really embody their personal style and design.
