Milton 1st Floor Remodel:

Sometimes our favorite projects are the kind where our past clients come back to us.  It makes us feel great here at Almar that our clients trust and believe in us enough to trust us with their house twice.  This was the case for our recent Milton Kitchen and 1st floor remodel.

Two years ago, we helped these homeowners with their newly purchased house to remodel the exterior of the house and their Master Bedroom Suite when they first moved into the home.  We install new Harvey Vinyl windows with CertainTeed Vinyl siding to their home, while upgrading the Master Suite Bathroom.

Fast Forward

Fast Forward 2 years and they have lived in their home a couple of years and realize that the layout is not working for their lifestyle.  With Kids in sports like Hockey, their mudroom area was not enough for all of the “kids’ stuff” they had been collecting at the end of every day.  Also, with the house being built in the late 70’s the layout was very broken up, with many walls and small doorways going from room to room.

Bring in the Designer

With the help of Beth Bourque Design Studios, we were able to transform their 1st floor in a much more functional space.  We enlarged the kitchen area to allow for a large eat-at island with cabinet and design help from Cape Cod lumber.   Opening the Mudroom area allowed Almar’s on staff carpenters to enlarge the usable space and make custom built-ins.  By widening the doorways into the existing living room to allow for a much better traffic flow into the space.   We also remodeled an existing ½ bathroom.

Almar was happy to continue to assist these return clients with their remodel to the first floor of their home.   We are always happy to see clients return and it is fun for our team to be able to see our clients continue to change their homes to fit their needs.
