When a past client in Hanover called us, it wasn’t for a planned remodel. “Surprise!” A refrigerator water line had failed, leaking for hours and causing significant damage across the first floor and into the finished basement.

However, the homeowners decided to take this unexpected challenge and turn it into an opportunity. Rather than just making repairs, they worked with the Almar team to completely reimagine the home for the next chapter of life.

The Vision: Modern Style meets “Aging in Place”

The goal was twofold: to restore the damaged areas and to proactively upgrade the home to be more “Aging in Place”- friendly.

• The Kitchen: Working alongside the talented design team at Top Notch Kitchens, we transformed the kitchen into a bright, highly functional space. From cabinetry to a layout that prioritizes ease of movement, it’s now the true heart of the home.
  
• The Bathroom: We didn’t just repair the first-floor half-bath; we completely remodeled it into a full bathroom. By incorporating accessible features and high-end plumbing fixtures from Ferguson, we ensured that the first floor is now fully equipped for long-term comfort and safety.
  
• The Basement: We meticulously restored the finished basement, ensuring that the water damage was fully repaired and the space was not only returned to its original condition (but made better with more modern finishes!).
