Duxbury Beach First-Floor Remodel

The Almar team is very proud of this stunning first-floor remodel on Duxbury Beach. Transforming the space into an entertainer’s dream. To accommodate their large family and numerous friends, the homeowners envisioned a more open and functional layout, ideal for hosting gatherings and maximizing their stunning waterfront views.

One of the primary goals was to remove the existing kitchen and completely redesign the first-floor layout to improve the flow for entertaining. Our team reconfigured the space, creating an intuitive and inviting environment. A key addition was a beautiful new fireplace, adding warmth and serving as a focal point in the living area, along with a recessed sitting nook featuring transom windows. 

To truly capitalize on the breathtaking surroundings, we strategically changed the window layout. This thoughtful adjustment maximized the unobstructed waterfront views while minimizing sightlines to neighboring houses, creating a private and serene atmosphere.

Collaboration was crucial to the project’s success. For the heart of the home, the kitchen, our Almar Design team worked closely with TopNotch Kitchen Design in Hanover on the layout and cabinet selections. Yale Appliance partnered with us to provide top-of-the-line appliances, and The Fireplace Connection ensured the perfect installation of a gas fireplace, in addition to a host of other wonderful trade partners. 

Beyond the structural changes, we also assisted the homeowners with their interior decorating needs, helping them select beautiful furniture pieces from Pottery Barn to complete the refreshed aesthetic. Additionally, the first-floor bathroom received a complete update, tying the entire space together with a cohesive and modern design.
