The Almar Team

Almar was founded in 1959 by Gerald Quinn and his partner. Today Almar is owned and operated by Gerald’s son Terry and granddaughter Allison. From the start our goal has been to provide quality craftsmanship, and the best solutions for all our clients needs.

 

 

Allison Quinn Guido, CS: General Manager/Partner.

Allison joined our team full time in May of 2002, after graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She handles all of the office communications, as well as some of our sales. She was named the Builder’s Association of Greater Boston 2004 “Rookie of the Year.” And coordinates Almar’s Asthma Avengers for the Boston Asthma Walk.

Allison was featured as a Women in Business in the 2008 & 2009 March edition of South Shore Magazine. Allison was also the South Shore Women’s Business Network featured business in December of 2008. Click here to read her interview.

In 2010 she was honored as one of Cape & Plymouth Businesses Magazines 40 Under 40. And by West Virginia Wesleyan College with their Young Alumnae Achievement Award. In 2017 Allison was again names a Professional Remodeling Magazine 40 Under 40 Award Winner

Craig Guido, CS: Project Development/Partner.

Craig joined the Almar Team in 2004 as a Carpenter. Originally from West Virginia, Craig has helped Almar work closer and more efficiently with our customers and help meet their needs better. Craig is the head of our Sales and Design team. When not at work he enjoys playing with his 2 small boys, playing guitar, home brewing, and photography.

C. Trey Bird: Project DevelopmentTrey Bird

Trey is a jack of all trades and is willing to try his hand at almost anything. He joined the Almar team in 2014 and has been willing to accept any challenge we throw at him. Not easily flustered Trey has taken on some challenge deck and trim projects since he’s joined the team. When not at work he likes to stay active by running and mountain biking. He is now taking up the challenge of renovating his own home, having recently purchased a home in Whitman.

His taste in music is varied and he enjoys lots of different types and styles so he likes to listen to live bands whenever he has the chance. Trey likes remodeling because he likes “Turning a mess into a dream home.”

 

 

 

 

Mark Caruso, CS: Production Manager.

Mark has been part of the team since the early 1990’s. A Licensed Construction Supervisor he diligently works to make sure that every job is done right. With a real eye for detail, when asked what part of Remodeling he likes the best Mark told us “the finish work”. But he is truly good at all phases of Remodeling. He enjoys participating in Jen’s team each year for the MS Walk. Mark lives in Whitman with his wife Jean and three kids, which keeps him very busy when he’s not working.

 

 

 

 

Bobby Gill: Project Manager

He will be organizing aspects of your project. From Marshfield originally. Bobby lives in Braintree with his wife and son.. Bobby studied at Wentworth and is skilled at carpentry and project management. After years of running his own company he is excited to be joining the team and working with us to organize and manage projects for even more great homeowner’s.  
An avid sports fan; his favorite team is the Patriots but enjoys playing gold with his son. He has a dog named Lilly that he rescued from Mississippi. 

 

 

 

 

Caitlyn Carvalho: Project Manager

Caitlyn joined Almar in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant. She nows works with the Production team to ensure projects flow smoothly and continues to strive for ways to improve our client communication. She enjoys going for walks with the dog and hanging out with family and friends

 

 

 

 

 

Scott Walsh, CS: Field Coordinator CS#106961

Scott is from Weymouth, Ma where he lives with his wife and 4 kids.  Joined the Almar team in the fall of 2014 after a decade of running his own business. Because family comes first he decided it was time to team up with Almar so he could spend more time with his family. Scott says remodeling is a good fit for him because he loves meeting new people and seeing the end product once a project is completed.

 

 

 

 

Jonathan Tuffy:
Assistant to the Production Manager

Jonathan has been with the team since 2014. The middle of 5 kids. He grew up in Wareham where he still currently resides. A graduate of Plymouth North High School he joined the Almar team so he could improve his carpentry skills and start to build a career. Working alongside our Carpenters and Leads he is quickly gaining new skills and the respect of the rest of his team. Just like other members of the team he is an avid hockey fan and enjoys watching the Bruins play. When not working hard he likes to go to gym, run, and enjoys concerts.  He says that what’s being interesting to him about working with our clients is: “Everyone homeowner I have worked with has been incredibly polite, I like that”

 

 

Tyler Quam:  Carpenter

Tyler is a graduate of Rockland High School. he takes a lot of pride in the quality of his craftsmanship. When has a chance to relax he like woodworking and restoring antiques.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thomas Schnedier: Carpenter

Tom joined the Almar team with more than 30 years of carpentry experience.  Originally from Halifax and a graduate of South Shore Vo-Tech, Tommy now lives in Weymouth with his wife and children. He is a self-proclaimed “hardcore” fisherman and you can almost always find a fishing rod in his truck for those quick last minute trips.  When thinking about what he’s like best about remolding, Tommy say “the satisfaction of finishing a job and saying “I did that”.

 

 

 

 

Jonathan Cesarini: Carpenter

John is from Scituate and is a graduate of South Shore Voc-Tech. He is eager to finish any project with great finesse. He loves the feeling of a job well done and finds joy in working with his hands. During his free time, Jon enjoys listening to country music and getting outside with his black lab.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Colin Joyce: Assistant Carpenter

Colin is teaming up with our carpenters to hone his skills, he enjoys the constant change of pace and different challenges on every project. When not on the job site you can find Colin in the gym or watching or practicing MMA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jose Galvao: Carpenter

Jose is ready and motivated to learn and is quickly becoming a valuable part of our team. Having attended BayState Technical School he really enjoys the process of remodeling and is continually looking to improve himself. When not working he enjoys playing soccer and helping with his church’s events as well as spending time with his friends and family.

 

 

 

 

 

Annabell Rojas: Office Coordinator

Annabell a mom of three has joined the Almar team after several years home with her kids. She has been helping us keep things moving in the office and enjoys getting the chance to talk to so many of our clients each day. Annabell is a sports fan and enjoys the Red Sox’s and Patriots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nicole Patri:

Administrative Assistant, Marketing

Nicole is joining the team as an Admin Assistant specializing in Marketing. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in May of 2020. Marketing has become her passion and she’s excited to engage with clients daily. When Nicole isn’t working, she loves going to the beach with her friends or her mom- no matter the weather.

 

 

 

Bob Sanford: Project Development/Sales

Bob originally from West Bridgewater now lives in Carver with his wife of 35 years and 2 boys. He’s been in sales all his life and started working with Almar because he likes helping families fix problems. He loves spending time with his family, fishing with his boys, and coaching little league.

 

 

Terry Quinn, CS, CGR, CAPS, VSI: Partner/Past President.

Terry has been working in construction and gaining experience since an early age helping his father on the job sites. He has obtained his Construction Supervisor’s License, MA De-leading Contractor certificate, Certified Graduate Remodeler Designation, Vinyl Siding Installer Certification, and 5-Star Contractor Recognition from Certainteed. He firmly believes that education is a life long process and encourages all his employees to take advantages of continued education.

 

 

We are proud to announce that in the Fall of 2007 Terry became a Certified Installer by the Vinyl Siding Institute, and was recognized as a 5-Star Contractor from Certainteed.
