Top 3 Outdoor Living Design Trends

As summer is slowly coming to an end and school is right around the corner (let’s face it, August is the Sunday of summer, right?) you’re probably thinking about all the time you’ve spent in your backyard. For us, it always gets us thinking on how we can improve our outdoor living space for the next year! We’re recommending 3 outdoor design trends for Summer ’23 so you can continue making more summer memories

  1. Drink Rail

Azek Building Products has really upped their game in composite railings.  They add new features every year, and if you entertain like us don’t forgo the Drink Rail.  Instead of having the classic look to the top cap of your railings sections you can now have a 3” or 6” board that matches or complements your deck that will install.  Using a deck board as the top rail not only help pull together the look of your deck but is also functional for add a place where you can sit a drink while having an outside party on your deck.

2. Solar Lighting

Nothing elevates the ambiance like outdoor lighting! We’re recommending Solar Motions sensor lights from Amazon (Click Here for the Link) you can put on the riser of your stairs or even Solar powered LED string lights that you can put over your deck.  These options can give you the lighting you want for your deck without compromising your project budget.

3. Shade

If you are like me… you love being outside, but with not all that SUN!!   Building a roof over your deck or patio is a great idea. Our team can design and build something that is just right from a full roof to a pergola.  If you quite ready for that, many of our homeowners will have us extend a post on a corner or two of their deck and allow for them to buy Sun Sails (Click Here for the Link) to help give some needed shade to their outdoor living area. No matter which route you want, we’re ready to help while designing your outdoor living area to give you a few places to hang sun sails.

It never hurts to start planning your outdoor oasis! Call Almar today to help you get ready for next year’s summer season!
