Tips to Making Project Selections

1. Work with the Team.

Our team is here to guide you through the selection process. We’ll connect you with our trusted Designers and vendor partners and help you navigate your options. Plus, if you need extra inspiration, we can introduce you to talented designers who can bring your vision to life.

2. Make an Appointment.

If you opted not to use one of our Designers. Schedule appointments with your chosen selection vendors to ensure they can give you their full attention. We’ll provide you and the vendors with your material allowances, outlined in your contract. Once you’ve explored your options, you can compare them in Buildertrend and easily select your favorites.

3. Make decisions early.

Allison emphasizes the importance of making decisions early in the process. To be transparent, some material selections can significantly impact your project timeline. For instance, certain materials have longer lead times, meaning they take longer to arrive.

4. Reduce delays.

Making decisions early in the planning process significantly reduces delays. By finalizing choices upfront, we streamline the process and ensure everything runs smoothly. Our goal is to keep your project on schedule and prevent any unexpected hiccups.

5. What happens next?

So, what happens after you make your selections? We’ll get pricing for you to approve in Buildertrend. For flooring, we’ll hold onto your choices until we measure the space. Plumbing fixtures get ordered once you approve the pricing. And finally, we’ll order your cabinetry after confirming the measurements.

Our team at Almar hope this helped you understand the process of making selections and helped you feel more informed about your remodel.
