Azek Clapboard Siding
The future is now when it comes to siding. For years, New Englanders have wanted to re-side their houses but keep the look and feel of cedar clapboards. While there have been many products that we have tried- Azek has recently come out with a beveled edge clapboard siding that looks great, and gives you the longevity of a PVC product.
Azek Exteriors and Almar Building & Remodeling
We recently started working on a siding rehabilitation project in Hanover, MA. The homeowner’s house had a lot of siding that needed to be replaced, but not all of it. His plan was to replace large sections of siding from the back and front of the house, and then have the entire house repainted. When working with Almar we discussed the option of Cedar clapboard siding and painting the house. After much research and pricing, we realized that not only could he install new Azek PVC siding, but with the current volatility in the cedar market, it was more cost-effective to install the Azek siding.

Choosing an Azek Installer
The most important part of using the Azek siding is to make sure that you work with an installer that is familiar with and has been trained on the product. While it always matters who you select to work on your home- when using the Azek PVC siding you should make sure that your installer has the right experience. This means, selecting an installer that has been trained by Azek on the proper procedures for installing their product. Selecting a qualified installer will ensure that the product can be fully warrantied.
