Team Building 2015

It isn’t very often a small business can look at their team and honestly say that they have a remarkable group of people working for them, right now is one of these times. I want to say that we have always had great people working with us but for many years, Terry, Craig, Mark and I have been working to build an exceptional team. Not just our carpenters but with our subcontractors and suppliers as well. I feel like right now we have a wonderful team of people working together for our clients (who are also part of that team)

Every remodeling project is different. There is no “cookie cutter” package in our business. Each renovation is specially designed to serve each homeowner’s unique needs and every home we work in is unique. And Almar is lucky enough to have some of the most talented people on the South Shore to do that for our clients every day.

So we thoughtfully took some time out of our team’s busy schedule last week to come together as a team for a team building day. One and all, we worked together to not only build a playhouse for 2 little boys, and also utilized the time for some of our Lead carpenters to work with our Carpenter helpers to work on teaching them about building stairs and railings. And to teach some of our office staff what the field guys are doing when they are on a job site, and what it means.

It was a good chance for our team who generally works in different places to come together and learn from each other and share ideas, and teach each other. I think by thoughtfully taking a step back and working collectively on a project it will help us all when working individually.

I have always been proud of my carpenters and remodeling team, but I am just a little more proud of them today as I think about the impact they are making and the legacy they leave behind at each home Almar Building & Remodeling has renovated for the last 56 years and counting.

Our family has been working with families like yours for 56 years. And it is important to use that everyone works together to create the best possible remodeling experience.
