A prefabricated acrylic/fiberglass shower can be installed in a matter of a day or two and be operational, where a tiled shower can take as long as 3 weeks (if you are getting custom shower doors installed as well). In the scheme of a bathroom project timeline, this could make your bathroom project last longer.
