Kitchen Remodel in Hanover Ma

This past client had remodeled their kitchen in Hanover Ma in the early 2000s (with another company).   After their family continued to grow and get older their existing design and layout was starting to stress their family needs.   With the kids getting older and the family spending more time in the kitchen, they felt they needed a new design to accommodate their new needs and lifestyle. So let’s check out this Kitchen Remodel in Hanover Ma.

Guidance

By guiding the family thru a series of questions about what their current and expectant needs and lifestyle was like together with our kitchen designer we were able to come up with a new layout that would be able to better incorporate their wants and needs.

What did the homeowners want?

Starting with the desire to incorporate a large island to be able to have the family sit at and have meals.   It was decided that if a carrying wall was removed between the dining area and kitchen the whole first floor space could open.   By reconfiguring the space to allow for the pantry and fridge to be located closer to the family room area, then the floor plan would allow for someone to be able to get a drink or snack and not be a disturbance to whoever is cooking.

Great Trade Partners

By partnering with the design team at Cape Cod Lumber to put together a new cabinet layout for and to achieve the design needs for the client.  Utilizing Omega Cabinets and having the island be a darker color than the main cabinets we were able to add more style and depth to the kitchen space. Stainless steel appliances continue the modern look.

The homeowner really wanted to keep their existing farmers sink that was a little old, had a few chips and was a color that would not match the new design. So, we brought in the team from New look Refinishing who repaired and re-glazed the sink so that it could work in the new space.

By choosing all recessed and under cabinet lighting the kitchen was able to be light without any visual distractions from hanging fixtures.

Working Together

Happily, by working together we were able to create help these homeowners thought their kitchen remodel modern features as well as designing for space and functionality that they were looking for in an updated kitchen. We are always happy to see clients return and it is fun for our team to be able to see our clients continue to change their homes to fit their needs.
