Project Spotlight: Milton Kitchen Addition

This Kitchen Addition in Milton was a great project for a family that was looking to have a more functional and inviting kitchen.   The kitchen in their front entrance colonial house was tiny and tough for making a nightly family meal.

With the help of Beth Borque Design Studios, Almar was able to transform the existing kitchen into a ½ bathroom by building a small addition on the back of the house for the new larger kitchen layout and mudroom entry area.

Using Schrock Cabinetry from Cape Cod Lumber this two-toned cabinet configuration allowed for a better working kitchen area, that still allowed family to gather in the kitchen area without getting in the way of meal preparation.   Also, with a large opened supported by an LVL into the addition, it gave the kitchen and whole first floor a nice open floor plan flow.

Along with remodeling the existing 2nd floor bathroom, the homeowner was able to not only add more space to their home but get a much more functional layout to their first floor living space.
